Pharmaceutical Sciences Master Program
is the first of its kind in Libya. It is implemented using modern educational and research methods that contribute to enhancing the level of pharmaceutical education at the postgraduate level and advancing scientific research to improve healthcare in Libya.
The program awards a Master’s degree (MSc) in Pharmaceutical Sciences
The postgraduate (Master’s) program in Pharmaceutical Sciences aims to:
1. Demonstrate knowledge and skills related to pharmaceutical sciences in relevant fields such as the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, biotech marketing companies, chemical and biochemical industries, and quality assurance departments.
2. Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to evaluate all scientific disciplines, and develop their skills in organizing and planning experiments systematically.
3. Pursue advanced research at the doctoral level in any branch of pharmaceutical sciences, as the program provides students with a solid foundation in research work.
4. Enhance communication skills and scientific writing abilities.
To make the Libyan International Medical University (LIMU) occupies regionally advanced position in the fields of post graduate pharmaceutical education, research and community service.
The program aims to provide students with knowledge and skills needed to expand career opportunities in the field of pharmaceutical sciences and fulfils community need.
- Demonstrating knowledge and skills relevant to pharmaceutical sciences in related careers such as pharmaceutical industry, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, drug formulation, marketing biotechnological companies, chemical and biochemical industries and quality assurance departments.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and evaluation of all sciences and develop their ability to organize and plan experiments in an organized manner.
- Continue the research work at higher levels in PhD in any branch of pharmaceutical sciences. Since the course degree gives a good base for future degree programs in research work.
- Improve communication skills and scientific writing skills.

Duration of study: Two academic years
Language of study : English
The program consists of four semesters, and the total credit hours required to complete the program are 120 ECTS.
The program includes general courses, specialized courses, and a thesis, with the proposal discussed in the third semester and completed in the fourth semester.

Pharmaceutical Analysis
Pharmacology
All disciplines of Pharmaceutics
